Event Description
A lantern-lit family evening at one of Britain’s most haunted ruins.
A 15th-century Pomeroy fortress remodelled into an ambitious, unfinished Tudor mansion by the Seymour family and abandoned by 1700. English Heritage’s own guidebook calls it one of the most haunted castles in Britain, home to the legends of the White Lady and the Blue Lady.
Unlike the investigation nights elsewhere in this collection, Berry Pomeroy is a gentle, family-oriented evening in the English Heritage tradition — a lantern-lit grounds trail and atmospheric storytelling among the ruins, not a paranormal hunt. Perfect for families with younger children who want the atmosphere without the frights.
