About this
Event Description
A Tudor-Gothic mansion and WWI hospital, investigated after dark.
A Grade II listed Tudor-Gothic mansion built in 1849 by cotton-mill owner James Buckley, later home to inventor Austin Hopkinson. During the First World War it served as a Red Cross hospital with over 100 beds for wounded soldiers, and since 1922 it has been a community asset in Audenshaw.
For three nights we run structured investigations through the hall’s historic rooms using EMF and K2 meters and traditional techniques. Standard, Premium and a small-capped VIP tier — the VIP adding a historian-led talk on the hall’s story. Worked sensitively around a much-loved living community building.
