About this
Event Description
A derelict Victorian orphanage and asylum — one of the UK’s most requested hunts.
Opened in 1874 as the Royal Liverpool Seamen’s Orphanage — founded by shipping lines including the White Star Line — the building housed hundreds of orphaned children, received a Royal Charter after a 1921 royal visit, and later became Newsham Park Hospital with a psychiatric department before closing in 1997. Grade II listed and derelict ever since, it is now being slowly restored and hired for events.
Across three nights, Standard, Premium and VIP tiers investigate the vast wards, corridors and the Naughty Boys’ Corridor in supervised small groups. The VIP Overnight extends deep into the night. This is a raw, cold, genuinely derelict building — handled with respect for its history as a children’s home and hospital.
