About this
Event Description
The home of the Black Monk of Pontefract — three nights only.
An unremarkable 1950s semi on the Chequerfield estate, said to stand on the site of a medieval gallows. Between 1966 and 1969 the Pritchard family reported thrown objects, green foam from the taps and their daughter Diane dragged up the stairs — a national news story. The entity became known as ‘Fred’, then the Black Monk of Pontefract. It has featured on *Most Haunted* and *Paranormal Lockdown* and inspired the film *When the Lights Went Out*.
For three nights we take the house exclusively. Standard, Premium and VIP tiers move through the small, preserved 1970s rooms in tightly-controlled groups, with structured vigils and traditional techniques. No sleepover is offered — this is a compact, intense investigation of one of Britain’s most famous haunted homes.
